The decisions of the Extra-Ordinary Academic Council Meeting held on Tuesday, September 05, 2006 at Bhubaneswar with regard to Eligibility of Promotion with Backlogs for B.Tech. / B.Pharm. / B.Arch. / B. HMCT are as follows:
Eligibility for promotion from First Year to Second Year remains unaltered.
For promotion to Third Year, the candidate should have no more than 5 (five) backlogs in 1st Year and 2nd Year level subjects (registered or not registered) put together with CGPA of not less than 6.0 in cleared subjects.
For promotion to Fourth Year the candidate should have cleared all First year course items and should have no more than 5 (five) backlogs in 2nd Year and 3rd Year level subjects (registered or not registered) put together with CGPA of not less than 6.0 in cleared subjects.
Eligibility for promotion from Fourth Year to Fifth Year (only for B. Arch Programme) remains unaltered.
OTHER RELEVANT DECISIOINS OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL SHALL BE COMMUNICATED SUBSEQUENTLY
