The Post Graduate Admission Test for the year 2008 - 2009, Orissa shall be held from August 11-13, 2008 at selected centres  for admission to the first year Master Degree courses in Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture.

ELIGIBILITY
(A) For admission to First Year Master Degree programme in - (i) Engineering / Technology : GATE qualified candidates or pass  or  appearing in 2008 in B.Tech/B.E examination from a recognised university with CGPA 6.5 (10 point scale) or 60%  marks. GATE qualified candidates or pass or appearing in 2008 MCA examination from a recognised university with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks only for M. Tech in Computer Science and Computer science & IT branches. (ii) Pharmacy : GATE qualified candidates or pass  or  appearing in 2008 in B.Pharm. examination from a recognised university with securing CGPA 6.5 (10 point scale) or 60% marks. (iii) Architecture : GATE qualified candidates or pass  or  appearing in 2008 in B.Arch. examination from a recognised university with securing CGPA 6.50 (10 point scale) or 60%  marks.
Non-GATE candidates are required to appear at an Online Test; GATE candidates are exempted from this test.

Note: Candidates are to produce their complete result alongwith original marksheet of qualifying examination at the time of online test / counselling for admission.

RESERVATION : The percentage of seats to be reserved for different categories is subject to change and the decision of the appropriate authority as on the date of admission will be applicable.

OUTSIDE STATE CANDIDATE: Outside State candidates are not eligible for admission in Govt. Colleges but they are eligible for admission to Privates Colleges.

HOW TO GET APPLICATION FORM: On payment of Rs. 1,020/- (including Rs. 20/- as service charges) from Syndicate Bank at Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar. No hand delivery is acceptable.
Candidates can also apply for  Application Form by post on payment of  A/C payee Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- drawn in favour of “Biju Patnaik University of Technology” on any nationalized bank Payable at Bhubaneswar along with a stamped (Rs.75/-) 30 cm x 25 cm Size cloth lined self addressed envelope from the Office of the Chairman, PGAT-2008.

HOW TO SEND APPLICATION FORM: The completed application form is to be submitted to the Banks/Post Offices from which it is purchased or to be sent by registered/speed post/registered courier service to the address given below.
