Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for the post of Principals in (i) College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar; (ii) University College of Engineering, Burla; (iii) Orissa School of Mining Engineering (Self Financing Degree Stream); (iv) Centre for IT Education (Self Financing), Bhubaneswar and (v) Institute of Management and Information Technology, Cuttack (Constituent Colleges of the University) in the scale of Rs. 16400 - 450 - 20900 - 500 - 22400 with D.A and other benefits as admissible. The colleges with Sl. No. (1) - (iii) have engineering degree programmes while the colleges (iv) & (v) have MBA/MCA programmes. The details about the specific colleges and the Application format can be seen on the website of BPUT (bput.org). The duly filled in application form along with supporting testimonials and a Bank draft for Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- in case of SC / ST) in favour of Biju Patnaik University of Technology drawn on any Nationalized Bank at Bhubaneswar should be sent by Post so as to reach the undersigned at Biju Patnaik University of Technology, UGIE Complex, Jail Road, Rourkela - 769004 on or before 18.06.2008. A candidate can submit one application for any or all Engineering colleges; similarly one application for any one or both Management colleges shall be acceptable. The applications would be accepted only by Post; No Hand Delivery is acceptable.


Eligibility : (1) Ph.D. degree with 1st class at Bachelor’s or Masters level in Engineering / Technology/ Management (2) Fifteen years of experience in Teaching / Research / Industry out of which 5 years must be at the level of Professor or above. Candidate from Industry / Profession / R & D Organisation with Masters degree in Engineering/ Management and significant professional work equivalent to Ph.D. degree with 15 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at the senior level comparable to that of a Professor would also be eligible. The general qualifications as stipulated by AICTE shall be operative. Preference shall be given to candidates who have (1) research guidance at Ph.D. level and good publications in referred journals and (2) administrative experience. In-service candidates should submit one copy of the application through proper channel with ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employers.

Those who have applied earlier for the above positions in response to our earlier advertisement No. BPUT/ Estt/ 07/01, dated 14.04.2007 need not apply again. However, they may send in any additional information, if they wish to.

Eligibility alone does not make it binding on the University to call a candidate for interview. Decision of the University is final in this matter.
